Canada is one of the few countries in the Western world that actively seeks immigrants, with over 250,000 new immigrants arriving in Canada each year. Independent immigration to Canada took a long time in the process, which meant that directly sponsoring a migrant worker was often the only viable option. However, in January 2015, Canada revised its immigration and work permit rules by launching the express entry system to hire skilled long-term workers and also reformed the rules for hiring temporary workers.
A work permit from Canada, also known as a Canadian work visa, allows a qualified foreign worker to work temporarily in the country. However, if you have a DUI arrest or a conviction in your record, you may not be able to come to Canada to work with the correct visa. Penal inadmissibility prevents the admissibility of a foreigner in all Canadian immigration programs and, unless you have a special admission permit, you may not be able to work in Canada.

Foreigners interested in working in Canada can overcome their criminal inadmissibility by obtaining a temporary residence permit or a criminal rehabilitation. A temporary residence permit or TRP allows a person to overcome his or her criminal history for a limited period and may be valid for up to three years. Criminal rehabilitation Canada allows people to solve their problem of inadmissibility once and for all, but requires a minimum of nine months to acquire, which may be too long for candidate who have received a job offer in Canada. Criminal rehabilitation is possible even for Americans who have completed their probationary period and other sentences more than five years earlier.

The applicant for a foreign worker must collect all canada work permit requirements documents as well as the following documents and forms:
• A valid travel document or passport.
• Two photos of you and photos of the accompanying family members.
• Try to meet the requirements for the job possible
• A copy of LMIA (assessment of the impact on the labor market).
• A copy of the nominated letter issued by the province or territory that appointed the client.
• Furthermore, everyone must demonstrate that they meet the requirements of the job offered.
• If you go to Québec, you must provide the valid certificate called CAQ.
